Position Summary
The City of Drumright is seeking a dependable Service Technician to perform a variety of water and utility service duties, including:
- Read assigned gas and water meters.
- Complete service orders for new service turn-ons and service turn-offs.
- Perform meter leak checks, re-reads, and other assigned service tasks.
- Service, maintain, and repair water system equipment, including water lines, valves, pumps, and meters.
- Participate in the monthly cut-off process.
- Assist with the monthly billing process.
- Assist with receiving payments at the utility desk as needed.
- Perform customer service-related tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High school diploma or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specific skill area; related experience and/or training, however acquired.
- Must possess a valid State of Oklahoma driver’s license.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
Primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
