This day is a reminder of the firefighters’ sacrifices to protect others. The American flag will be flown at half-staff in honor of fallen firefighters who bravely served their communities

In accordance with Public Law 107-51, the American flag should be lowered to half-staff on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from sunrise to sunset in observance of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.
