VOLUNTARY BOIL WATER ORDER – PUBLIC NOTICE
Issued by: City of Drumright 04/02/2026 Effective Immediately Until Further Notice
⚠️ IMPORTANT: BOIL YOUR WATER BEFORE USE
Due to A WEATHER-RELATED INCIDENT (LIGHTNING), the safety of the public drinking water supply cannot be guaranteed at this time.
ALL CUSTOMERS MAY BOIL WATER BEFORE USING IT FOR:
- Drinking
- Cooking or food preparation
- Making ice
- Brushing teeth
- Washing dishes
- Preparing baby formula
- Washing fruits and vegetables
🔥 HOW TO PROPERLY BOIL WATER
- Bring water to a rolling boil (vigorous bubbling).
- Boil for at least 1 full minute.
- Allow water to cool before use.
- Store boiled water in clean, covered containers.
🚫 YOY MAY CHOOSE TO BOIL ATAP WATER FOR:
- Consuming or ingesting in any way
- Pet water (boil before giving it to animals)
✅ SAFE USES WITHOUT BOILING
- Bathing and showering (avoid swallowing water)
- Laundry
- Flushing toilets
Use caution when bathing young children or individuals who may ingest water.
The City of Drumright Water Department is actively:
- Repairing affected infrastructure
- Conducting water quality testing
This boil order will remain in effect until water quality tests confirm the system is safe and official notice is given.
