CITY OF DRUMRIGHT TO FLY FLAGS AT HALF STAFF ON MAY 4TH FOR FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS’ DAY.

CITY OF DRUMRIGHT TO FLY FLAGS AT HALF STAFF ON MAY 4TH FOR FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS’ DAY.

On May 4th, we observe Fallen Firefighters Day, a day of remembrance for the brave men and women who have lost their lives in the line of duty while serving as firefighters. This day is an opportunity to honor their sacrifice, recognize their dedication to public service, and offer our condolences to their families and communities.

As we pay tribute to our fallen firefighters, we also want to remind everyone that this is a half-staff holiday. The American flag should be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on May 4th, as a symbol of mourning and respect for those who have given their lives in service to their communities.

We encourage everyone to take a moment on May 4th to remember our fallen firefighters, to express our gratitude for their service, and to show our support for their families and loved ones.
