Drumright Gas Authority Announcement – May 2016

In the interest of public safety the Drumright Gas Authority (DGA) is advising all customers serviced by the Authority on actions to take in the event they suspect they are having a natural gas problem.
1. Upon smelling an odor which you suspect as being natural gas, call 918-352-2120 and report it.
After hours and on weekends call 918-352-2151.
2. If the odor is strong, leave the building and report it as soon as possible.
3. If fire or smoke is present, immediately leave the building and report it to the proper authorities.
4. Do not attempt to turn the gas off at the meter as this may make the situation worse. Wait until
a DGA employee arrives on the scene and let them turn the gas off at the meter.
5. Do not leave the area until a DGA employee arrives on the scene.
6. When natural gas service is restored after an outage, the customer must be present.
7. Remember that if there are any questions concerning natural gas operations within the DGA call
918-352-2120. In the event of an emergency call the fire department at 918-352-3131.
8. The City of Drumright owns and runs the gas system.
9. Call 811 before you dig.
